Users: Collective Noun?

Work today raised an interesting question: what is the collective noun for users? (In case you didn't already know, a collective noun would be "herd" as in "herd of cows"). There were a few suggestions from around the office:

  • a muddle of users
  • a panic of users
  • a hatred of users
  • a wrecking ball of users
  • an incompetence of users

Any thoughts?

horde of users
I would suggest group of users, but sometimes several user groups may exist within the collective, that doesn't really work. I think the best might be "a body of users." Robert's is undoubtedly more amusing, however.
A plague of users, perhaps?
surely it's a base of users (aka a userbase)

Not sure about the collective noun for users but my favourite is the one for people in the financial industry:

A wunch of bankers.
Robert: Nice. They (we, really) do really seem to have that kind of mob mentality on occasion.

Scott: That it is :)

Phil: Are you by any chance involved in web development?

Paul: Good point - I hadn't thought of that. That might actually be the correct term, if such a thing exists.

Flotsam: Love it :)

How about ..... (being an ex help desk manager) a _plague_ of users?

May I suggest a " 'throng' of users " ... Nice web content, by the way.
